Terms & Conditions
Dog Training Waiver

This Dog Training Liability Waiver ("Agreement") is made between Client’s Name (hereinafter referred to as the "Client") and Best Good Friend Training LLC (hereinafter referred to as the "Trainer"). By signing this Agreement, the Client acknowledges the risks, responsibilities, and liability limits associated with dog training services provided by the Trainer. This waiver covers participation , terms and conditions in all training sessions, ensuring both parties understand their rights and obligations during the training process.

Assumption of Risk

The Client understands that dog training involves inherent risks, including the possibility of injury to the Client, the dog, the Trainer, or third parties. Such risks may result from unpredictable dog behavior, accidents during training sessions, or interactions with other dogs. While the Trainer will take all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment, the Client acknowledges that no training program can completely eliminate risks. The Client assumes full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss incurred during the training process. This includes any accidents or incidents that may occur during sessions, whether at the Trainer’s facility, a public location, or the Client’s home.

Dog Behavior Acknowledgement

The Client certifies that they have provided accurate and complete information regarding their dog’s behavior, including any history of aggression, fear, anxiety, or specific triggers. The Trainer will use this information to design a safe and effective training program. The Client understands that failure to disclose important behavioral details may increase the risk of injury or incidents. The Client assumes full responsibility for their dog’s actions during training, including any damage or injury the dog may cause, and agrees to take precautions as directed by the Trainer. The Trainer is not responsible for incidents arising from undisclosed behavior issues.

No Guarantees

The Client understands that the Trainer does not guarantee specific outcomes from dog training. Results depend on the dog’s temperament, age, past experiences, and how consistently the Client reinforces training techniques at home. While the Trainer will use professional expertise to guide the training process, the Client acknowledges that results may vary. Ongoing practice and reinforcement are essential to achieving lasting changes in behavior. The Trainer cannot guarantee that problem behaviors will be entirely resolved or that new issues won’t arise. The Client agrees to follow the Trainer’s recommendations for continued success after the training sessions.

Training Equipment & Safety

The Client agrees to use any training equipment recommended by the Trainer, such as leashes, training collars, e-collars or muzzles, and to ensure that such equipment is in good working condition. The Trainer will provide guidance on proper usage, but the Client is responsible for maintaining and using the equipment correctly. Faulty or inappropriate equipment can lead to accidents or injury, for which the Trainer will not be held liable. The Client is expected to follow all safety guidelines provided by the Trainer during training sessions. Any concerns about equipment or the dog’s behavior must be communicated immediately to the Trainer to prevent potential hazards.

Health & Vaccination Requirements

The Client certifies that their dog is in good health and up to date on all required vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and any other vaccinations recommended by local authorities. The Trainer reserves the right to refuse or terminate training sessions if the dog shows signs of illness, injury, or any contagious condition. The Client is responsible for ensuring the dog’s health and must notify the Trainer of any changes in the dog’s medical condition that could affect training. The Trainer will not be held liable for any illnesses that arise from training activities unless caused by negligence on the Trainer’s part.

Liability for Damages

The Client acknowledges that they are fully responsible for any damages or injuries caused by their dog during training sessions, whether these occur at the Trainer’s facility, in a public location, or at the Client’s home. This includes damage to property, injury to other dogs or people, and any legal fees or medical costs associated with such incidents. The Trainer will not be held liable for any damages or injuries caused by the dog. The Client agrees to cover all costs related to accidents, including repairs, medical treatment, and legal claims resulting from the dog’s behavior during training.

Emergency Care

In the event of an injury to the dog, the Client, or another person during training, the Client consents to the Trainer seeking emergency veterinary or medical care if necessary.

The Client is responsible for all expenses incurred as a result of emergency treatment, whether for the dog or a third party. The Trainer will not be held liable for the outcome of any emergency care provided, but will make every reasonable effort to contact the Client immediately should an emergency arise. If the Client cannot be reached, the Trainer is authorized to act in the best interest of the dog’s well-being.

Waiver of Liability

By booking and paying deposit, the Client releases the Trainer from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising during dog training sessions. This waiver covers injuries to the Client, the dog, or third parties, as well as any property damage that may occur. The Client understands that the Trainer cannot guarantee a risk-free environment during training. This waiver does not cover cases of gross negligence or intentional harm by the Trainer. The Client agrees to release the Trainer from all responsibility except in cases of proven fault or misconduct, acknowledging the inherent risks of dog training.

Cancellation & Deposit Policy

The Client agrees to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a training session. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee, which must be paid before the next session. The Trainer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to emergencies, illness, or unsafe weather conditions. In such cases, the Trainer will notify the Client as soon as possible, and both parties will work to find a mutually convenient time to reschedule the session without penalty. A non-refundable deposit of $100 must be paid in order to secure slot.

Media Release & Usage Consent

Client grants Trainer the irrevocable right and permission to photograph and/or record video footage of training sessions involving their dog(s), and to use such media for educational and promotional purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, usage on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok), websites, online courses, and other digital or printed educational materials.

Client understands and agrees that:

  • The media may feature their dog(s) and potentially incidental audio or visual presence of the Client.

  • No personal identifying information (such as names or addresses) will be disclosed without prior written consent.

  • All media will be used professionally and respectfully to educate the public about dog training and behavior.

  • The Client will not receive compensation for the use of any media, now or in the future.

If the Client prefers that their dog or themselves not appear in any media, they must notify Trainer in writing prior to the first training session.
